Why participate?
After graduation, High School students have a number of career pathways they may choose to follow. Those pathways include:
- Apprenticeship
- Community college
- Short-term/long-term certificate
- Trade school
- Direct hire
- On-the-job training (OJT)
- Military
- Four-year colleges & universities
Despite these pathways, 28% of recent high school graduates still enter directly into unemployment after graduation (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2015). RTW aims to assist these students by creating a bridge between recent graduates and career pathways to help grow our workforce. Our student-centered pathway approach provides students with an individualized outline for their future.
How does RTW help my future?
Ready to Work aims to do more than just help students find jobs. Our goal is to equip students with the tools they need to make informed, thoughtful decisions about life after graduation. We accomplish this by integrating soft skills training with industry-specific content in a comprehensive, year-long Ready to Work course.
