Join the Movement to Combat Low Labor Participation in Alabama!
Across Alabama, countless high school seniors and unemployed adults are eager to enter the workforce but lack the skills, exposure, and opportunities needed to succeed. Your contribution to Ready to Work (RTW) directly addresses this challenge.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, RTW equips participants with essential training and connects them to Alabama’s top employers. With your support, we can combat low labor force participation and help students explore meaningful career pathways, transforming potential into purpose and building a stronger, more prepared workforce for our state.
Your support doesn’t just help individuals—it strengthens Alabama’s economy.
The Challenges We Face:
The Success Misconception
There remains a widespread misconception that success is unattainable without a college degree, despite increasing recognition among employers that practical skills and hands-on experience often outweigh formal credentials.
Student Debt Crisis
The rising burden of student loan debt has made traditional higher education increasingly inaccessible for many individuals, highlighting the urgent need for viable career pathways that do not require taking on long-term financial obligations
Low Labor Participation
Alabama’s labor force participation rate remains significantly below the national average, limiting the state’s overall economic growth and opportunity.
